Principal Michele Peña
Dear RVHS Parents and Community,
It is with great pride and excitement that I invite you back to Robert Vela High School. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such persevering students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community. I feel very fortunate to have been a part of this school for the past two years.
This year, there is a genuine excitement in the air as we prepare for in-person instruction once again. We can't wait to see our students walk through our school doors and reclaim the halls, lunch tables, football field, stage, library, books, teachers, and their friendships. Be assured that RVHS will provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous, relevant, and help them build relationships while making real-world connections. As your principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors is excited to be here! This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment. Most importantly, I bring a belief that students are at the center of all school-related decisions. I am excited to unite my experience, my openness to learn, and my student-centered approach to supporting our students.
