Commercial Photography

What is commercial photography? Commercial photography is the "production of photographs meant to sell products; images in a clothing catalog or jewelry website, magazine advertisements, and photos of food in a restaurant menu are all examples of commercial photography. Beyond being beautiful, a commercial photograph creates direct sales or promotes a product, brand or idea."

 

I like to tell my students that the skills attained in this class are skills that can be applied in the commercial photography industry or applied in their personal lives. 

 

Learning to manipulate a camera manually helps a student create a piece of art that can be used in many ways.
